Pat grew up in Gulf Breeze, Florida and came to Christ in the fall of his sophomore year in high school when a close friend invited him to a home Bible study. Folks in a local church embraced Pat and other young people in the area giving them a church home where they were loved and taught the Scriptures. Pat attended Belhaven College, graduating in 1981 with a degree in Bible. Pat then served as Youth Director at First Presbyterian Church, Kosciusko, Mississippi for eight years. In 1989, he and his family moved to Jackson to attend Reformed Theological Seminary graduating in January, 1994 with degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and Divinity. He served as Associate Pastor at Faith Presbyterian Church in Brookhaven, Mississippi before coming to ESPC.
