Deacon Emeritus - John Parker


  • Michael is originally from Marietta, GA, but has lived all over Georgia and Alabama. He received his undergraduate degree from Samford University. His Master of Divinity is from Birmingham Theological Seminary. He was on staff with Campus Outreach from 1989-1994. He worked in sales in the Atlanta area, and has served churches in Montgomery (AL), Florence (AL), and Powder Springs, GA. He married his best friend, Lisa, in 1989. They have five children - all born in the 1990’s. He’s an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fall, likes to play golf, and loves to travel overseas to visit missionaries.

  • Pat grew up in Gulf Breeze, Florida and came to Christ in the fall of his sophomore year in high school when a close friend invited him to a home Bible study. Folks in a local church embraced Pat and other young people in the area giving them a church home where they were loved and taught the Scriptures. Pat attended Belhaven College, graduating in 1981 with a degree in Bible. Pat then served as Youth Director at First Presbyterian Church, Kosciusko, Mississippi for eight years. In 1989, he and his family moved to Jackson to attend Reformed Theological Seminary graduating in January, 1994 with degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and Divinity. Pat was ordained in Grace Presbytery in October, 1994. He has served as Associate Pastor at Faith Presbyterian Church in Brookhaven, Mississippi before coming to us at ESPC.

  • Chris Holland is the Director of Student Ministries. He and his wife Amanda are proud parents of 2 daughters, Lucy and Afton, and one son, Ben.  Chris was born and raised in North Alabama. He loves: playing or listening to music, reading theology, meeting new people, camping, guns and cooking.  Chris is currently pursuing a Masters degree  from Birmingham Theological Seminary. 

  • Anna, a Tennessee native, has been at Eastern Shore since 2012, serving the families of ESPC and the community. Her hope for Eastern Shore’s ministry to children is to support and encourage parents in their role of “telling of His teachings, His praiseworthy deeds and His wonders, not only for this generation but the generations to come, putting their trust in Him”. Anna and her husband, Pat, have three boys: Jonathan, who is married to Briana, who live in Cleveland, MS, with their  two sons, Oliver & Hank, Aaron, who is a student at the University of South Alabama, and Stephen, who a nurse and lives in Auburn, AL. She loves reading, exercising, and working with call or email her if you have questions, suggestions, or especially, if you want to volunteer!

  • George is a native of Shreveport, LA. He received a Bachelor of Music degree from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. He has served churches in Tennessee and Louisiana as Worship Arts Director and church planter. George is also a published songwriter of modern worship songs. George and his wife, Marjorie, have three children: Mallory, Jordy and Liam.

  • Keith and his wife Benita are parents to three children: Zachary, Eleanor, and Jane Whitney.  Keith was born in Atmore, Alabama and grew up on the Eastern Shore.  He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, a master's degree in social work and recently completed his coursework to qualify for the CPA exam. He has previously worked as a manager in an adoption agency, a government agency and a hospital.

  • Wanda was born in Butler, AL. She is married to Dick Philson. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and has lived everywhere but Alabama after graduating high school until God moved her to Fairhope in 2005. She has worked for ESPC since 2009.

  • Jenni is originally from Pensacola, FL. She and her daughters moved to Fairhope in 1993, and began being a part of ESPC at that time. She began working in the church office in 1994. Missions and ESL are important ministry areas for Jenni, and she serves with the Missions Committee. She also enjoys community outreach, reading, and spending time with her family, especially being with her grandson.

  • Eileen is originally from Rochester, N.Y.. She and her husband David moved to Fairhope from California in 1999. She and David have have two grown children. Eileen graduated from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.

  • Phoebe is originally from Marietta, GA. She went to Reinhardt Universtiy in Waleska, GA, and studied Music Education. She is excited about working with the youth and their familes at ESPC! 

  • Jeff is a native Texan who also lived in West Virginia and Alabama.  Jeff attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL, and graduated with a Music Education degree.  Jeff has worked professionally in the audio and recording industry and well as theatre and audio-visual departments in higher education. Jeff’s wife (Pam) is the Head of School for Bayshore Christian School.

  • Marie has a Childhood Education degree from the University of Alabama, and a Master's degree from Springhill College in Mobile. She and her husband, James, have four children; Hayley, Braden, Madison, and Perrin. She and her family have been a part of the Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church family since 1994. She enjoys supporting all the various ministries of ESPC with "hospitality needs". Please contact her if you need help with your next family or church event on our campus!
